Not your average day of class

Most students walk into buildings to have class.

Others rappel down them.

About 40 Army ROTC students rappelled down Thatcher Hall on Wednesday afternoon.

The activity was part of a training exercise to prepare military science juniors for a leadership development course.

The students rappel down the building twice during the fall semester.

The exercise also trains them to create a “swiss seat,” or a harness made of only rope.
