Daniel LawsonDaniel Lawson, born July 28, 1979, in Detroit

Lawson, a junior guard, transferred to OSU from Mott Community College in Michigan. He played in two games last season and then sat out as a medical redshirt. At Mott, he averaged 15.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4 assists and 3.4 steals.

At MacKenzie High School in Detroit, he lettered three years in both basketball and cross country.

Lawson is survived by his parents, Daniel and Phyllis; two brothers, Eric Jordan and Austin Jordan; and two sisters, Karen Jordan and Shynika Lawson.
