Brian Luinstra, 29, from Augusta, Kan.

Luinstra joined the OSU Athletic Department in December 1999 as an athletic trainer after four years as an assistant athletic trainer at Wichita State University. In 1996, he completed a master’s degree in sports administration at Wichita State. He also served as student athletic trainer for two years at the University of Kansas, where he graduated in 1994, with a degree in sports science.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; a 2 year old daughter, Alexis Renee; and an infant son, Garrett.
