It’s time once again to see the “Phinest” men on campus.
Phi Mu sorority will raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network through its annual all-male beauty pageant tonight from 7 to 9 in the Student Union Little Theatre.
This marks the fifth Phi Mu’s PHInest, said Emiley Schoeb, the director of this year’s pageant.
Tickets are $5 and can be bought at the door.
A total of 12 men will compete in the pageant.
The benefactor — Children’s Miracle Network — is the alliance of premier children’s hospitals, according to its Web site.
The 170 hospitals affiliated within the network treat 17 million children every year for various diseases and injuries, according to its Web site.
During the show, a few contestants plan to sing while others will compete in dance-offs and even perform interpretative dance.
“It’s awesome that these young men are wiling to be in a pageant in order to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network,” Schoeb said.
All money raised for this event will stay in-state and go to the children’s hospital in Oklahoma City, Schoeb said.
Last year, PHInest raised about $3,500, she said.
