Sens. Jim Inhofe and Andrew Rice are running against each other for a seat in the U.S. Senate and will debate in Tulsa tonight.

The NBC station in Tulsa will televise the debate but not in Stillwater. To watch the debate from Stillwater viewers will have to log on to http://www.kfor.com to watch a Web cast, which starts at 5 p.m. The debate will start at 5:15 p.m. and last for 45 minutes.

This is the only scheduled debate between Inhofe and Rice. Rice suggested having a series of debates, but Inhofe agreed to only this debate held during the final week for voter registration. The last day to register to vote in the Nov. 4 election is Oct. 10.

Rice, a Democrat, has been a state Senator since 2006. He decided to go into politics following his brother’s death in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in 2001.

Inhofe, a Republican, has served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1987 to 1994. In 1994, Inhofe joined the U.S. Senate.
