The OSU men’s golfing team met Wednesday to compete for the chance to play in the PING/Golfweek Preview Tournament, Sept. 28-30.
The 54-hole tournament will be held at the Inverness Country Club in Toledo; the same course that will host this year’s NCAA Tournament.
The Cowboys are ranked second in the nation behind the Georgia Bulldogs who will also be at the tournament. Eight of the top 10 teams in the country will be in competition.
Rickie Fowler, the nation’s No.1 golfer, and Kevin Tway, the son of former OSU great Bob Tway, lead the team. This will be the fourth year that coach Mike McGraw heads the golf program.
The spring championship will be the school’s 11th, should the Cowboys play.
