After a short hiatus, the bubbles are back.
“I decided to shut down for the summer in order to save money,” said Da Bubble owner Sean Metzinger.
Da Bubble, 209 S. Knoblock, serves bubble tea, which is a concoction of milk or tea that can be served either hot or cold, as well as with “bubbles,” black gummy textured balls filled with tapioca. The customer sips these bubbles through an oversized straw.
Instead of tapioca, the bubbles may be substituted for flavored jellies. Da Bubble offers many tea flavors, from rose to taro or more classic flavors such as peach and strawberry.
Metzinger frequently orders new flavors from different companies and countries to update the menu.
Da Bubble recently joined up with Kyoto’s and will be selling Kyoto sushi.
