This Tuesday brings a diverse selection of multimedia for you to spend your minimum wages on instead of eating.
First on the list is the season two set of “Heroes.”
In its sophomore year, the NBC drama expanded its repertoire of, well, heroes and further expanded its mythology.
Some fans were pleased while others were disgusted. You be the judge; catch up before season three premieres in September.
“What Happens in Vegas” hits shelves today, also.
Starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher, it tells the tale of two strangers getting drunk in Vegas and winding up married.
Before ending the marriage, they win $3 million in a slot machine and must coexist with each other for six months in order to split the money.
It makes for a good rental, no matter how unrealistic it may be.
Disney isn’t satisfied with its fan base of “Nightmare Before Christmas” and seeks to expand it by releasing a special edition two-disc set.
They’ve released it in 3-D and have Jack Skellington’s face plastered all over Hot Topic’s clothing line.
Also “Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning” comes out today.
The straight-to-DVD Disney princess prequels seem quite abundant these days.
It’s V-day on the music front.
That is, both the Verve and the Veronicas have new albums.
“Forth” is, appropriately, The Verve’s fourth album.
The songs on this album are long, with the shortest clocking in at four and half minutes.
The Veronicas’ sophomore album “Hook Me Up” was released in Australia last year to much praise. If you’ve never heard of the Veronicas, think Paramore but less punk and more pop.
“Untouched” from the album, features a cool mixture of string instruments and electro-pop sounds.
