Gun pulled on Diddy entourage
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A sheriff’s deputy pulled a gun on members of Diddy’s entourage during a routine traffic stop over the weekend, Diddy spokesman, Ed Tagliaferri said.
The situation was quickly resolved and the deputy was professional and respectful, Tagliaferri said.
The gun was never pointed at the hip-hop mogul, and deputies were “very respectful” during the stop early Saturday, he said.
Diddy was traveling on Sunset Boulevard in a seven-car convoy when a deputy pulled over one of the vehicles.
Combs was not in the car, which was stopped for having an expired registration tag.
Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore says the deputy became concerned when several men approached the vehicle.
The deputy unholstered his gun and the situation quickly cooled down.
No citations were issued because the car was a rental.
Andy Dick finally catches a break
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Prosecutors say they won’t charge Andy Dick with sexual battery stemming from his arrest last month.
The “NewsRadio” actor with a reputation for crude public behavior is still scheduled to face a judge later this week on misdemeanor drug possession and battery charges.
He escaped felony charges after prosecutors reviewed video of the incident, Riverside County District Attorney spokesman Ryan Hightower said.
A teenage girl accused the actor of pulling down her top at a restaurant in Murrieta, a city east of Los Angeles, in mid-July.
Dick was arrested by officers responding to reports of an intoxicated male.
Dick is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
Chris Kattan’s marriage lasted almost as long as a “Saturday Night Live” skit.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The comedian filed for legal separation from model wife Sunshine Tutt on Friday after only eight weeks of marriage.
The couple were married June 28 in Yosemite Valley and split around Aug. 10.
The couple have no children together, and Kattan’s filing indicates the pair have a prenuptial agreement.
Kattan is leaving the door open for a reunion with Tutt, but is indicating the pair intend to live separate lives for the time being.
Kattan, 37, appeared on “SNL” from 1996 to 2003.
He also starred alongside Will Ferrell in “A Night At The Roxbury.”
