On the DVD front, “Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay” (John Cho and Kal Penn) is hitting the shelves.
On their latest adventure, Harold and Kumar find themselves trying to flee Gauntanamo Bay after their smokeless bong is mistaken for a bomb on a flight to Amsterdam. This comedy seems to have a plot line able to satisfy both ladies and guys. Love connections and raunchy humor keeps the movie rolling.
As far as music is concerned, Staind has a new release. Like most other Staind albums, “The Illusion of Progress” takes morose vocals accompanied by slow paced rhythms to create their classic alternative sound.
“The Corner” utilizes the talent of full gospel choir veering from their usual sound. However, most of the songs stick to the band’s typical pessimistic outlook on life, proving “The Illusion of Progress” is not just an album name but a fact when it comes to their music.
Also worth mentioning is Bomb Factory’s “Moshing Through Tokyo.” Bomb Factory happens to be the longest original Punk Rock band in Japan, which is reason enough to purchase this album. These boys are the Britney Spears of Japan, surviving 15 years on the music scene.
Their latest album is said to have a balanced mixture of Pop and Rock and will be the Bomb Factory’s first U.S. release.
