(AP) — Ever wanted to kick a field goal through the uprights at Boone Pickens Stadium?
Want the autographs of Cowboy quarterback Zac Robinson and soccer All-American Yolanda Odenyo?
Ever wonder how Cowboy football players and coaches prepare for Saturdays in the fall?
On Saturday, Aug. 2, Oklahoma State fans will get the chance to do all those things and more when OSU hosts its Fan Appreciation Day.
Kicking off the day is OSU’s football practice, which is open to the public and will run from 8:15 a.m. to about 10:30 a.m. at the practice fields directly east of Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Up next, fans can get autographs of their favorite Cowboys and Cowgirls at 4 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena. The arena doors open at 3:30 p.m., and the OSU football and soccer teams will be available for autographs.
There is a one-item limit per student-athlete. Free drinks will be available during this time. The autograph session will conclude at 6:30 p.m.
The format for the autograph session is broken into four different zones. Single-file lines will shuttle fans through each zone. No photographs will be allowed with student athletes or coaches.
Cowboy and Cowgirl merchandise will be available for purchase at the new OSU Authentic Store, while fans can also stock up on soccer and football posters and schedule cards that will be available in the arena lobbies.
There will also be a number of free activities at Boone Pickens Stadium from 6 to 8 p.m., as a gigantic slip-and-slide, a moon bounce, field goal and soccer goal kicking stations and sprinklers will be set up across the field. There will be beach ball giveaways and free drinks will also be available.
For the activities at Boone Pickens Stadium, fans will need to enter the stadium at Gate 6 and only seating on the south side of the stadium will be allowed. Also, no food or drink will be allowed on the stadium playing field.
