Is it legal to set off fireworks in Stillwater?

Published: July 02, 2008

Setting fireworks within the Stillwater city limits is prohibited.

However, you can set fireworks anywhere outside of city limits this week, said Magan Hudson of Stillwater City Hall. The fine for setting off fireworks in Stillwater is $150.

If you want to sit back and just let someone else do the work, there are a few fireworks shows this weekend in Stillwater.

The Boomer blast will begin Friday night at sundown at Boomer Lake. There will also be a fireworks show at The Links on Saturday night at sundown.
