Students divided on Chipotle, Qdoba

Restaurant chain Chipotle has opened a new branch in Stillwater.

The restaurant will go head-to-head with another Stillwater restaurant with a similar style, Qdoba.

Both Qdoba and Chipotle serve various Mexican food items, including burritos which are hand made in front of customers.

Qdoba has been the only Stillwater restaurant to specialize in gourmet burritos for several years.

This sudden competition begs a question. Which is better: Chipotle or Qdoba?

Here are some student responses:

“I hate Qdoba. I think it tastes like a big nasty burrito. I would rather lick the sidewalk.” Royce Humble, elementary education junior

“Qdoba, they have a better atmosphere, I just feel more at home there.”

Jesse Vandament, general education freshman

“I would say that Qdoba is better because they have queso.”

Raechelle Reed, psychology junior

“I had my friends bring me Chipotle from Lawrence, Kan., before we had one here in Stillwater. That is how much I love Chipotle.”

George Ferris, a business junior
