Oklahoma City firefighters were called to control a fire at a retirment home on Wednesday night.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Firefighters from Oklahoma City and The Village controlled a fire that broke out Wednesday night at a retirement home.
The fire started about 7 p.m. and resulted in the evacuation of about 150 residents of the Statesman Club retirement home. Officials said the cause of the fire might have been roofing work being done on the structure.
Authorities said one person was taken to a hospital with respiratory problems.
About 40 people stood outside the three-story facility as firefighters worked to control the fire.
