Kevin Federline will soon be doing something worthy of his celebrity status. Ex-Mr. Spears will make a multi-epidsode guest appearance on “One Tree Hill” on the CW network. Federline will play a “cocky rock singer,” said the show’s publicist. Finally, KFed will get to be the music star he’s always wanted to be…even if it is just on TV.
Bill Murray could face drunken driving charges in Stocklhom, Sweden…for driving a golf cart. “He refused to blow in the (breath test) instrument, citing American legislation,” Stockholm Detective-Inspector Christer Holmlund said. “So we applied the old method: a blood test. It will take 14 days before the results are in.” Murray, who had been at a golf tournament in Sweden, signed a document admitting that he was driving under the influence and agreed to let a proxy plead guilty for him if the case goes to court, Holmlund said. At least with this celebrity DUI, the chances of someone dying as a result are pretty slim.
Stephen Colbert is going to auction the cast off his left wrist to benefit the Yellow Ribbon Fund, a charity that assists wounded service members and their families. The cast will be auctioned on eBay after tonight’s “The Colbert Report,” Comedy Central announced Wednesday. Bids will be accepted until Sept. 3, with the winner to be announced the week of Sept.10 on the show. Colbert said, “If I had known that it would give me the opportunity to help our wounded veterans, I would have shattered my triquetrum a long time ago.” In a weird, unexpected twist, the cast has been signed by such bigwigs as NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and CBS “Evening News” anchorwoman Katie Couric.

Liberal-leaning Colbert even got White House Press Secretary Tony Snow to sign the cast. I guess the White House folks have a sense of humor after all.
Congratulations are in order for Bridget Moynahan and Tom Brady, although we’ll have to send two sets of flowers to their different residences. The exes welcomed a baby boy Wednesday, said Moynahan’s publicist. Brady, quarterback for the New England Patriots, wasn’t on the field or sidelines for the first 15 minutes of practice Wednesday. He had said he wanted a few days off to attend the birth of his first child. No one knows if he got there before his son was born, or if he had model girlfriend Gisele Bundchen in tow.
