• Clear Channel, the financial partner, backs out, leaving the Student Union as the sole provider for Orange Peel.

• The Student Union tells Neil that artists must be approved.
• Brad Paisley is approved.

• Paisley backs out.

• The Foo Fighters are contacted.

• The Foo Fighters do not reply.
Late July
• The All-American Rejects and The Fray are chosen and approved.
• The team has the decision to choose either Guster or Jack’s Mannequin.
• Guster is chosen after Neil searches Facebook and finds a larger number of Guster fans.
• The Fray backs out, and Guster takes another offer.
• Pat Green is selected for an opener.
• The executive team is told the only way Orange Peel will go on is if The All-American Rejects agree.

• The All-American rejects decline.
• Orange Peel is canceled.

• Students create Facebook group and begin plans for an independent concert, Orange Slice.
