OSU greeks raced head to head to build canned goods sculptures in the Student Union Atrium on Thursday. All the canned goods raised went to Stillwater’s Mission of Hope, and the proceeds raised from the Greek Week events went to the Eddie Sutton Alcohol and Substance Abuse Center. This was the first year the event took place and it received 4,727 canned goods in about two hours, and $618 was raised through the Penny War. The canned goods contest consisted of 11 teams, and each team had 45 minutes to build its sculpture while staying in its eight by eight square foot area.
