Bring on newspaper recycling bins
We really need some bins around campus to put our old newspapers in. I read the O’Colly every day, and I feel guilty just throwing them away.
The only bins I’ve seen around campus for recycling paper are in the library, and I think we should have them all over campus in every building.
Please make this happen!

Thanks for organ donation column
I write to thank Rachel Sheets for her column encouraging organ and tissue donation.
My 8-year-old daughter is a 5-year cancer survivor and tissue recipient. A generous gift of bone tissue by a 33 year-old woman was shared with my daughter, saving her leg.
Without this donation and the revolutionary procedure she received, she would have likely experienced an amputation of her entire leg.
I would like to add two additional pieces of information to Rachel’s column.
First, another myth about tissue donation is that some religions ban the practice.
The truth is that all major organized religions allow and encourage the practice of organ and tissue donation as an act of charity.
Second, I encourage all people interested in becoming an organ and tissue donor to indicate it on their driver’s license, register as a donor at http://www.oosn.org/registry and inform family members of their decision.
Unfortunately, the opportunity to become a donor often is the result of a traumatic accident when emotions are high, and a driver’s license may be lost or misplaced.
If your family members are not aware of your decision, a precious opportunity to make this wonderful gift may be lost.
Thanks again for addressing this important issue.
