Home sweet home
While many students will be hitting the road this weekend for the start of spring break, Oklahoma State’s Softball team could not be happier to return home.
After seven straight games away from Stillwater, the Cowgirls will return to host the San Diego Toreros in a 3 game series at the Cowgirl Softball Stadium.
Spring break no vacation for baseball team
Spring break is upon Oklahoma State’s campus, and students can’t stop talking about their destinations.
Cowgirls looking to prolong season
It happens every year.
As spring break nears, Oklahoma State’s fourth and fifth year students begin suffering from an inexplicable epidemic known as “senioritis.”
The symptoms of senioritis are as follows: apathy, procrastination, disinterest and a general lack of motivation to perform one’s duties.
Students to build homes for Katrina victims
Nine OSU students will spend their spring break in Slidell, La., helping Habitat for Humanity build homes.
Club teaches firearm safety, recreational shooting
Students who want to learn about firearms and firearm safety now have a place — the Shotgun Sports Club.
“We want to help people learn about firearms and that they are not something to be afraid of,” said Matt Dent, an animal science senior and president of the club.
“We also want people to know that there is something recreational that you can do with [guns] besides hunting and a part of that is to teach safety, which is a big issue with our club.”
The club started a year and a half ago with five founding members and today has more than 83 paying members.
Letters to the editor
Student section at basketball game was lame
For one of my few trips to the greatest place on earth, I found myself leaving feeling empty.
I came down like many to see the Cowboys decide to put forth half effort on the court against the Red Foxes with Larry Bird Jr, who dismantled the Pokes porous defense with ease.
What was more disappointing, besides the lack of senior effort, was the student body.
About half of the student stands decided they wanted to cheer.
Students, in case you did not know, you are the real cheerleaders. Your chants and cheers get the alumni into the game.
The students that cheered and jeered Bobby Knight stood aimlessly and decided to just hang out.
It was awfully nice of so many students to call out the athletic department for “reducing” student seating.
Why blame the seat problem on money when you guys decide that you cheer when you want to, not when the team plays?
The team feeds directly off the crowd.
Do you remember the Texas game and others where the constant noise brought the other team to failure?
I hope that the student section that showed up against the Red Foxes does not come back for next season.
I also want all alumni to take about three chill pills and let Sean get HIS team together.
Yeah, his name is Sean and his dad is Eddie, but it is still our team that needs our support!
Sean, the Pokes and the Final Four in 2008?

A big thanks to the Cowboys
This is a letter to all members of the 2006/2007 men’s basketball team.
Thank you for the hard work and the hours that you spent practicing with the team.
You played “the hand that was dealt you” and you did it with your whole heart.
I want to say “thank you” and let you know that I appreciated your effort this season.
Latin American presidents direct with Bush
President Bush’s Latin American tour is over.
The gauntlet has been thrown and now the political battle for regional influence has begun.
Even though this approach towards the neighbors of the south is late, the outcome may be favorable to U.S. and Latin American interests.
Just how positive the outcome is, is what the U.S. government has to assess.
The bottom line is that it cannot assume there has been a sufficient effort to guarantee the favors of the Latin American nations visited is solid enough to leave issues on the back burner.
Get morals out of our entertainment
Opinions on how we should live our lives: it eems we can’t escape from them no matter where we go.
Keep yourself safe this spring break
Finally, it’s spring break.
It’s a time to sleep in, watch movies, read books, play video games, hang out with friends, shop and just relax.
Green holiday offers variety of music
Some college students may consider St. Patrick’s Day the best holiday of the year for numerous reasons.
Memorable movies to enjoy during spring break
While some students are excited planning what to wear to their glamorous trips across the ocean, the beach or the slopes, some of us are looking forward to sitting on our couch. Not everyone gets to go on a memorable spring break trip this year.
Musical acts entertain at Cowboy Showcase
A wide range of talented musical performers entertained the crowd of students that filled the Student Union Little Theater on Thursday night.
The fifth annual Cowboy Showcase featured a variety of musical performances competing for first place.
Share the WEALTH to add tobacco topic to program
OSU has received a $500,000 special populations grant from the state to create and implement a comprehensive tobacco use identification and cessation program.
Police expect less activity during holiday
