Game time is scheduled for 6:30 and will be carried on Stillwater Radio 105.5 FM.
This will be the 113th meeting between the in-state rivals, with the Sooners holding a 19-17 edge at home.
Overall, the series record shows the Cowgirls with a 67-45 advantage, with the Sooners besting the Cowgirls in the past seven games.
Oklahoma State (18-14, 3-3 Big 12) looks to improve its record as it comes off a three-game losing streak that dropped a game to Wichita State March 28, followed by a two-game sweep against No. 19 Baylor Bears over the weekend.
Oklahoma (29-7, 4-2 Big 12), fresh off a two-game sweep over Iowa State, simply dominated the Cyclones in 11-2, 13-3 fashion.
The reigning national champions, however, saw defeat this past week, thanks to No. 17 Nebraska Cornhuskers, who carved out a pair of wins by the scores of 6-5, 3-1 in Lincoln, Neb.
Heading into today’s game, OU clearly leads most categories, boasting a team batting average of .329 compared to OSU’s .255.
Scoring on average of nearly six runs (5.9) a game, Sooners’ bats have produced a combined slugging percentage that sits just below .500 (.498).
Thanks to a cold streak that has all but silenced Cowgirl bats, the team still has a respectable .340 slugging percentage and has pounded out nearly three runs a game (2.9).
Currently, OSU is riding a 31-inning scoreless streak that extends all the way back to the fifth inning of the Cowgirls’ 3-2 win over Texas Tech March 25.
Oklahoma State returns home this weekend with a two-game series with Missouri Tigers.
Game times are Saturday at 2 p.m., with Sunday’s game set for 1 p.m.
Both games will be at Cowgirl Field.
